This year's youth campaign in Thoi Binh commune has left its mark with many meaningful projects and activities. Among them, the most notable is the installation of over 100 solar-powered streetlights along the residential roads in Hamlet 3 and Hamlet 10, contributing to greater convenience and peace of mind for residents traveling at night.

Local people and youth union members are working together to illuminate rural roads.

Ms. Huynh Thi Nhanh, from Hamlet 10, said: “This road is over 1 km long. Previously, every house had lights installed in front of their yards to illuminate the road at night, but over time, not many houses did it anymore, so the road became unsafe at night. Now that the local authorities have installed solar-powered lights, the people are very happy. The road is brighter, and travel will be more convenient.”

In Hamlet 10, Thoi Binh Commune, a streetlight will be placed every few dozen meters to ensure adequate lighting, helping people to travel safely.

With nearly 200 million VND in funding from benefactors, 63 solar-powered streetlights were allocated to Hamlet 10 and 50 to Hamlet 3. The Youth Union in the commune will be responsible for transportation and installation, ensuring the project is quickly put into operation for the residents.

Mr. Vo Van Toan, Head of Hamlet 10, said: "When the lighting system is put into use, it not only ensures traffic safety and maintains security and order, but also contributes to beautifying the landscape, improving the quality of life, and gradually moving towards building a civilized and modern new rural area."

Ms. Trinh Huyen Tran, Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, shared: “I have high expectations that this project will become a highlight, spreading the spirit of responsibility and creativity of young people in building our homeland. This is not only the effort of the Youth Union members but also demonstrates the pioneering role of youth in applying green technology, aiming for sustainable development.”

Despite the drizzling rain of June, the young people braved the adverse weather to complete their tasks. Through this project, the youth of Thoi Binh once again affirmed their readiness to contribute to the development of their homeland and the well-being of the people.
