Vietnam has so much beauty to share with the world, but the challenge lies in telling it in a way that resonates with viewers, making them want to learn more and experience it. That's why VTC Corporation, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with its partners, is organizing the "Touch Vietnam 2026" video creation contest, opening up a creative space to tell the story of the country in a fresh and innovative way.
On May 27th, at the competition announcement ceremony held in Hanoi , VTC Corporation General Director Nguyen Ngoc Bao announced the competition's theme: "The Touching Point Between Tradition and Modernity." According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao, in today's era, cultural development is not just about preserving culture in museums or books, but about bringing culture to the digital space, to technological devices, and integrating it into the daily habits of the younger generation. This involves using technology and media as tools, but the core remains telling true stories about real people.
General Director Nguyen Ngoc Bao hopes that content creators will participate in the competition through three "touch points." First, respecting the original stories, people, and culture of each region. Second, creating from unique camera angles and new, emotionally rich storytelling methods. Third, synergy, requiring the joint efforts of professional agencies, digital platforms, the press, and young people to create a powerful and widespread campaign.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that culture is an important endogenous resource for sustainable development, contributing to enhancing national competitiveness. The development of digital platforms and social networks has opened up new methods in the work of preserving and promoting national cultural values. Today's digital space has become a creative environment, connecting the world globally, helping to widely access Vietnamese history and people in a more modern and accessible language.
Regarding the "Touch Vietnam 2026" competition, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong stated that it is a practical activity, demonstrating innovative thinking in connecting culture with technology, and contributing to building a healthy and distinctive digital content ecosystem in cyberspace.
The "Touch Vietnam 2026" video creation contest is scheduled to launch on June 6th and the awards ceremony will take place in September 2026.
