After nearly a week of releasing the iOS 18.3.2 update, which brought several notable improvements and new features to users, Apple has officially stopped signing iOS 18.3.1. This move is not surprising to iOS users, as Apple frequently stops signing older iOS versions to prevent users from downgrading. When an update is stopped from signing, it cannot be installed on an iPhone due to server-side software verification checks.

It is known that attackers can exploit this vulnerability to gain physical access to an iPhone or iPad, potentially disabling USB Restricted Mode on the locked device. USB Restricted Mode is a feature that requires the iPhone or iPad's password to allow connection to a computer or other device via USB. Bypassing this system allows attackers to access user data stored on the device.
According to Apple's release notes, the iOS 18.3.2 update adds important bug fixes and security updates. On some devices, this update fixes an issue that could prevent playback of certain streaming content.
Apple is currently developing iOS 18.4 and will release it soon.
