At WWDC 2024, Apple shocked the tech world with a series of important new announcements related to artificial intelligence (AI). Apple introduced Apple Intelligence, a personalized AI experience, deeply integrated into its devices, using generative AI to improve the user experience on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Apple Intelligence is bringing new ways to help users improve their writing skills and communicate more effectively. With the all-new Writing Tools built into iOS 18, users can rewrite, proofread, and summarize text almost anywhere they write, including Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps.
According to the annual roadmap, the new generation iPhone and iOS will be launched and sold in the market in September. However, according to journalist Mark Gurman, Apple seems to postpone the launch of Apple Intelligence until October to have more time to fix errors.
Apple Intelligence is expected to be made available to software developers for the first time with the first beta of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1.
Last month, Apple warned that its AI features could be delayed due to European Union (EU) regulations that make it difficult to deploy for EU users due to regulatory inconsistencies in the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA).
