After two years without significant changes, Apple is expected to launch a new version of the Apple TV 4K this year. The device is expected to have a series of important improvements in performance, artificial intelligence, connectivity and smart interaction.
According to the CNMO technology site, the new generation Apple TV 4K can be equipped with the A17 Pro or A18 chip, replacing the current A15 Bionic. This is a necessary upgrade to meet the rapid development of artificial intelligence applications, while improving graphics processing performance to serve modern entertainment needs.
AI is expected to be at the heart of the new device. Users can navigate content by voice, perform smart searches, or get detailed information about songs and characters in movies. Siri will also be fully upgraded on the iOS 26 platform to bring a smoother control experience on the TV platform.
One notable change is that Apple will for the first time use its own in-house connectivity chip set. This chip package includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and C1 baseband, which helps increase data transmission speed and optimize connections with smart home devices in the Apple ecosystem.

Additionally, the new Apple TV 4K is said to feature a built-in camera, FaceTime calling support, and gesture control. This feature will help the device seamlessly connect to the iPhone and Vision Pro, expanding its usability in family interactions.
However, a segment of users still expressed their desire for Apple to focus more on image and sound quality instead of focusing too much on additional features such as cameras.
Tech circles expect Apple to deliver a more comprehensive experience, with advanced video encoding technology, a rich app store, and many unannounced features. Although there is no official release date, the product is expected to appear later this year.
