The London club are expected to confirm the £63.5m signing of Viktor Gyokeres this weekend, paving the way for them to focus on Eberechi Eze.

The Crystal Palace star is rumored to be leaving, after helping the "eagles" win the FA Cup last season.

Arsenal are the team most interested in signing Eze. However, the Gunners have yet to make an official offer for the England international as they need to finalise the Gyokeres deal.

According to The Independent, Arsenal are preparing a £60 million bid for Eze, divided into three payments.

The figure is lower than the £67m release clause in Eze's contract with Crystal Palace. However, both sides are willing to sit down at the negotiating table to reach an agreement.

Eze himself wants to join the Emirates Stadium, so the deal is easier to push forward in the future. Arsenal can add Reiss Nelson to the exchange deal, to reduce costs.

Eberechi Eze's departure will be a big blow to Palace, as they are at risk of losing a series of key players, including Marc Guehi and Jean-Phillipe Mateta.

If Arsenal successfully recruit Eze, their total spending in the summer of 2025 will exceed £250m, with quality recruits such as Gyokeres, Zubimendi, Madueke, Cristian Muslimra, Kepa and Norgaard.
