The tourism development project for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, sets out the goal of striving by 2025 to complete the planning of tourist areas and spots with great potential for tourism development in localities; complete the system of guest reception houses, rest stops and other auxiliary works in tourist centers; build places for tourists to check-in, take souvenir photos, sell souvenirs, and local branded products; eco-tourism, resort, entertainment and recreation areas; build community tourism spots in Cho Ra, Thuong Giao, Quang Khe, Yen Duong towns...; develop traditional Tay ethnic handicraft weaving, embroidery of traditional costumes of Dao and Mong people... Striving to attract over 200,000 visitors/year; keep tourists staying for an average of 2-3 days/person...

Developing tourism with new rural construction

Mr. Luu Quoc Trung, Chairman of Ba Be District People's Committee, said: Ba Be has great potential for tourism development, focusing on Ba Be Lake with attractions such as Hua Ma Cave, Tham Phay Cave, Puong Cave, Dau Dang Waterfall... In addition, the district also has many eco-tourism spots such as Lung Trang, Phieng Phang, Na Hai...; historical relics, traditional culture and rich culinary resources. From the beginning of 2023 to now, Ba Be Lake tourist area has welcomed more than 57,140 visitors, an increase of more than 24,000 visitors compared to the same period in 2022.

Up to now, Ba Be district has 04 communes recognized as meeting the standards of NTM communes. In 2023, Ba Be will continue to strive for 02 communes (My Phuong and Yen Duong) to reach the NTM finish line, the remaining communes will strive to complete at least 01 more criterion compared to 2022. Increase the average number of criteria/commune to 12 criteria/commune (according to the new criteria for the period 2021-2025). Strive for Khang Ninh commune and Ha Hieu commune to achieve advanced NTM commune; consolidate and maintain the remaining communes that have met the NTM standards, strive to achieve at least 01 more advanced NTM criterion...

In the coming time, the district will actively improve the environmental landscape, promote investment attraction, restore, maintain, and organize annual festivals; direct, mobilize, and encourage people to invest in developing small-scale industries, tourism, and services to create jobs.
