Bac Kan: Implementing the Law on Geology and Minerals

BBK - The People's Committee of Bac Kan province has just issued a Decision on the implementation of the Law on Geology and Minerals No. 54/2024/QH15, effective from July 1, 2025.

Authorities are inspecting the implementation of land acquisition and land use for construction projects in Pác Nặm.

Accordingly, the province clearly defined the objective of raising awareness, organizing dissemination, propaganda, and in-depth training for officials, civil servants, and citizens on the new provisions of the Law. Specific tasks were assigned to departments, agencies, and localities to ensure synchronized and effective implementation.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is the lead agency, coordinating with relevant units to develop a plan for dissemination of information, review legal documents, and advise on the management of geology, minerals, environmental protection, and mining safety. Departments such as the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Finance, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Provincial Inspectorate are assigned appropriate tasks according to their functions.

The implementation is required to ensure timely completion, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency, with funding from the budget and other legal sources.
