After exporting the first batch of 1 ton of fresh longan from Luc Son Agricultural Service Cooperative to the Australian market, The Garden Vietnam Joint Stock Company has stepped up purchasing and exporting this fruit. Up to now, the unit has purchased and exported nearly 10 tons of fresh longan to the Australian market, with a purchase price of 25,000 VND/kg.

To successfully export to the Australian market, longan growers must ensure that the size of the fruit is 60 fruits/kg, that there are no pesticide residues, that it is free of fungi and insects, and that it has undergone the irradiation process.
After the end of the season, the enterprise continues to develop a plan to coordinate with specialized agencies to implement the signing of contracts with cooperatives, supply fertilizers, pesticides, and production processes to ensure the output and quality of exported longan for the next season.
It is known that this year, the whole province maintains more than 3,600 hectares of longan, including 600 hectares of late longan, the production area according to VietGAP standards is 2,500 hectares, certified to meet VietGAP standards for 10 hectares, GlobalGAP for 10 hectares. The estimated output is more than 24 thousand tons, an increase of more than 4 thousand tons compared to 2024. To date, localities have harvested nearly 16 thousand tons. The province has built 35 growing area codes, 1 packaging facility code for export to markets in countries: China, Australia, Japan, USA...
In the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to coordinate with departments, branches and localities to introduce, connect markets and promote the consumption of agricultural products, including fresh longan.
