Photo: Duy Quoc. This program is for children with leukemia, thalassemia, and many other children undergoing treatment at Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. More than just a fun activity and experience, the program also aims to connect with and motivate these children to overcome their challenges in battling their illnesses.
During the program, children had the opportunity to explore firsthand specialized equipment used by the fire department, such as firefighting robots, water hoses, fire trucks, and learn basic skills for handling fire emergencies.
Despite their frail health, many children eagerly participated in each part of the experience. For the first time wearing a firefighter's uniform, holding a fire hose, or controlling a specialized robot, they couldn't hide their excitement and enthusiasm.
Le Van Vinh Sang, a young patient receiving treatment at the hospital, couldn't hide his joy at participating in the program for the first time. "This is the first time I've personally controlled a firefighting robot and sprayed water to extinguish a fire. I think the firefighters are very cool, and I want to become a firefighter someday," Sang shared.
Many children watched attentively and enthusiastically participated in the experiential games in a lively and joyful atmosphere.
In the hospital corridor, the cheerful laughter of the "little firefighters" as they held water hoses, controlled robots, or practiced using fire extinguishers created a beautiful, meaningful moment that spread many emotions.
According to the organizers, the program aims to provide child patients with a positive experience, helping them find joy, optimism, and connection with the community. Through this, the Fire and Rescue Police force also contributes to raising awareness about fire prevention and control among children and the general public.
