Participating in the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Championship finals, Vietnam U23 is in Group D along with Kuwait U23, Malaysia U23, and Uzbekistan U23. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his players aim to reach the quarter-finals.

Vietnam U23 is in Group D of the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Championship finals.

To achieve that, the Vietnam U23 team must finish in one of the top two positions in the group after three matches. If they advance from the group stage, the Vietnam U23 team will have a chance to compete for a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 2024 AFC U23 Championship Finals serve as the Asian qualifying tournament for the men's football event at the Olympic Games. The top three teams in the tournament will qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
