The report notes that Vietnam is consolidating its position as a dynamic e-commerce export hub in Southeast Asia, with a strategic shift from volume-based exports to branded, value-creating exports.
In the 12 months ending July 31, 2025, the number of products sold by Vietnamese businesses on Amazon increased by 35%, while revenue from branded products sold by Vietnamese businesses increased by more than 40%.
Notably, the number of Vietnamese sellers achieving annual revenue exceeding $1 million increased by 60% compared to the previous year.
According to Larry Hu, Managing Director of Amazon Global Selling Southeast Asia, Vietnam is transforming from a "manufacturing hub" to a nation focused on brand development. Vietnamese entrepreneurs are not just manufacturing but are proactively innovating, building, and telling brand stories to capture a higher value share in the supply chain. This trend is shaping Vietnam into a driving force for the region's digital economy .

The report highlights the shift from manufacturing to global branding. Thousands of Vietnamese businesses export through Amazon, with sales increasing sharply. Tools such as branded storefronts, brand analytics, branded promotions, and advertising solutions help businesses effectively reach global consumers.
Technology and logistics continue to be key drivers of e-commerce exports. Artificial intelligence, deeply integrated into operations, helps streamline processes, optimize content, and enhance marketing effectiveness. In the distribution sector, Amazon's fulfillment by order (FBA) service is projected to see nearly 40% increase in shipping volume by 2025.
The report also points out that, in addition to well-performing sectors such as home and kitchen, healthcare and personal care, apparel, and beauty, Amazon is unlocking potential in the food, home decor, and furniture sectors through its in-depth product selection guides. Diversification helps increase export sustainability and opens up more room for added value.
