The Hanoi Traffic Police Department has directed functional units to ensure security and order on the roads to prepare to welcome the Vietnamese team from Noi Bai airport to the Government Office .
On January 6, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department informed that after successfully winning the Southeast Asian championship for the third time in history (2008, 2018 and 2024), the Vietnamese football team will return home on flight VN610, scheduled to take off at 12:20 on January 6 from Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) and land at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) at 14:45 on the same day.

Accordingly, the program to welcome the team will be chaired by the Department of Physical Training and Sports , with the highlight being the parade to welcome the 2024 ASEAN Cup championship trophy.
According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, after receiving the information, Hanoi City Police directed functional units to ensure security, order and traffic safety for the route to pick up the delegation from Noi Bai airport to the Government Office.
The Hanoi Traffic Police Department recommends that people who participate in cheering and encouraging the Vietnamese team strictly comply with the regulations of the law on road traffic order and safety, comply with the regulations of the authorities, and contribute to creating a beautiful image on the day of welcoming the team back home.
On the evening of January 5, the Vietnamese team won 3-2 against the Thai team at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok), in the second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final, with a final score of 5-3 (first leg won 2-1). This result helped the Vietnamese team win the Southeast Asian championship for the third time.
The 2024 ASEAN Cup championship brought the Vietnamese team a prize worth 300,000 USD from the ASEAN Cup organizing committee, equivalent to more than 7.5 billion VND. The Hanoi People's Committee decided to reward Kim Sang-sik and his team 2 billion VND.
On the afternoon of January 6, at the Government headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to meet and congratulate the national men's football team after the team won the 2024 ASEAN Cup championship.
Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter of commendation to the team. In the letter, the Prime Minister stated that the people and football fans across the country were very happy with the excellent performance of the Vietnam National Men's Football Team at the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024.
The Prime Minister warmly commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the entire coaching staff and the Vietnam National Football Team for their extraordinary efforts, resilient, courageous, united and tireless performance and impressive victories in the first and second leg finals, officially winning the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 championship.
This victory is a testament to the progress of Vietnamese football, and is also a meaningful New Year gift for the people of the whole country.
