Bao Thang: Bring spontaneous livestock slaughterhouses to the centralized slaughterhouse in Gia Phu commune

On the morning of June 2, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bao Thang district and related sectors brought spontaneous livestock slaughterhouses in Gia Phu commune to the centralized slaughterhouse.

After a period of propaganda and mobilization, on June 2, 10 spontaneous livestock slaughtering households in Gia Phu commune voluntarily moved to the centralized slaughter area. It is known that the centralized slaughter area in Gia Phu commune was completed in 2022, but many spontaneous livestock slaughtering households did not move in for many reasons; 10 households that were moved to the centralized area are currently slaughtering about 40 cattle per day to supply meat to the market of Bao Thang district and part of Lao Cai city.

Livestock meat products have been controlled and stamped after being slaughtered at the concentrated area.

Bringing spontaneous slaughterhouses into concentrated areas will help the district better manage and control slaughter, the origin of livestock, and control diseases that may occur in livestock; at the same time, it also ensures food safety for the market and protects the environment for residential areas in the area.
