Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation. Lesson 1

Our Party always recognizes and promotes the role of youth in building and defending the Fatherland. However, youth are also the main target that hostile forces aim to incite, entice, and lure into activities that distort and sabotage our Party and State. Therefore, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, so that youth can realize noble goals and ideals, contribute their youth and promote their vanguard role in Party building and socio -economic development is a constant key task...

Identify the plots of hostile forces

Our Party has determined that: Youth is the pillar of the country, the future owner of the country, the vanguard force in building and defending the Fatherland, one of the factors deciding the success or failure of the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country, international integration and building socialism. With such great faith, the youth force, regardless of the stage, always strives to overcome difficulties to fulfill assigned tasks well, especially in improving the material and spiritual life of the people, maintaining security, and building a prosperous country. That is demonstrated by a series of meaningful and practical works and projects such as the movements "Creative Youth", "Youth Volunteers", "Shocking to Protect the Fatherland"... However, hostile and reactionary forces still constantly organize propaganda activities to incite and provoke young people to commit acts of sabotage against our Party. Because they identify youth as both targets, subjects, and tools to exploit and take advantage of in sabotage activities, distorting the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws.

In recent years, anti-government elements have often taken advantage of some limitations in the operation of the Youth Union and Youth Union members, then cut and pasted images, falsified evidence, disrupted information, and manipulated public opinion according to their intentions and smear scenarios. In cyberspace, they often cling to negative incidents in the country and political events, then insert information and comments to spread extremist ideas to deny the role of the Youth Union for the country's youth, for the work of preventing corruption and negativity, thereby promoting the process of "self-evolution" of the young generation and denying the leadership role of the Party. The goal of hostile forces is to destroy the effective "arm" of our Party, wanting Vietnamese youth to lose direction and fade away from the Party's ideals, and then commit illegal and reactionary acts that they have planned.

Enhance "resistance" in youth

Mr. Truong Minh Quang - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said that there are currently over 250,000 young people in the province, including nearly 45,000 union members and over 81,000 youth association members. The vast majority of young people always believe in the leadership of the Party and the path to socialism in our country, clearly showing patriotism, national pride, and the desire to contribute and develop the country. In the face of hostile forces constantly organizing sabotage activities, the Provincial Youth Union determined: Protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints is the top priority task of the Youth Union and the Youth Union organization in participating in Party building. In that spirit, in recent times, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have implemented many very specific contents and solutions to closely link "building" and "fighting" to raise awareness among Youth Union cadres and young people against false and hostile arguments.

Among the measures and solutions that have been and are being implemented, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has paid special attention to strengthening the education of revolutionary ideals and political mettle for union cadres and young union members. The focus is to regularly organize the dissemination of the contents and great values of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, socialism and the path to socialism in our country; the Party's guidelines and the State's legal policies. Strengthening the organization of online law competitions, organizing journeys to the source at red addresses, museums, historical sites; traditional activities combined with discussions, talks with historical witnesses, candle lighting ceremonies... That has strongly aroused the faith and ideals of young union members, helping them raise awareness, clearly recognize the nature, and be vigilant against the plots and tricks of hostile forces; so that young people are alert, do not listen, do not believe, and do not participate in wrongful activities.

At the same time, the Youth Union at all levels in the province have also proactively grasped information, oriented public opinion, provided official information, good news with the motto "Using beauty to eliminate ugliness". Regularly launched and organized practical activities for young union members to participate, practice, turn awareness into concrete actions, notably activities responding to the movement "Youth volunteers to protect the Fatherland"; "Youth volunteers", "Green Sunday", "Volunteer Saturday"... Thanks to that, the "resistance" of young people has been enhanced against the fierce sabotage and distortion of hostile forces. The Provincial Youth Union has also proactively commended, rewarded or proposed to reward young union members with outstanding achievements and meaningful work. And Mr. Tran Van Quynh - a soldier of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) was awarded the "Brave Youth" Badge by the Central Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Huu Don (35 years old, residing in Xuan Tai village, Phong Nam commune, Phan Thiet city) was posthumously awarded the "Brave Youth" badge for his brave actions in saving people and protecting people's property in the fire that occurred on August 31 at a house on Hai Thuong Lan Ong street, Phan Thiet city is a proof. With their positive contributions, many outstanding union members have been honored to join the Party's ranks, thereby adding motivation to the youth union members, encouraging the young generation to live a beautiful life, a useful life for society, contributing to building the Party, taking the initiative in building the homeland, and protecting the country.

In my opinion, as the "Reliable Reserve Team of the Party", in addition to the measures that have been and are being implemented by the Youth Union at all levels; to promote their role in the face of the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, especially in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, each Youth Union member needs to be more proactive in fighting against wrong political views and tendencies; be cautious in commenting and sharing information, especially unofficial, one-sided, unverified information. On the other hand, all levels and sectors need to continue to create favorable conditions for young people to have opportunities to develop, especially creating job opportunities for young people to stabilize their lives. Regularly orient and promptly provide official information, especially on social networking platforms, so that Youth Union members can grasp and proactively participate in the fight against and refute wrong views and distorted arguments.
