Mo Duc Continuing Education Center, Quang Ngai currently has two campuses with about 20 classrooms, serving 647 students in grades 10, 11, and 12. The main campus is located in Mo Duc commune, and the second campus is located in Long Phung commune.
Facility 2 alone has 4 classrooms, 2 built in 1995 and 2 built in 2019. Currently, the 2 classrooms built in 1995, after nearly 30 years of use, are in a state of disrepair and severe degradation.

According to the reporter's records at facility 2, the walls, doors, floors, columns, roofs, and ceilings have shown many signs of damage and deterioration. On the columns of the classroom porch, there are many long cracks, rust stains everywhere, forcing the school to use temporary cement to cover them.
Some classroom windows have broken hinges, some classrooms only have half of the window left. Along the walls and roof tiles, there are many termite nests growing and stretching. Inside the classrooms, the walls and floors also have many cracks and breaks.

A manager of the second facility shared that the temporary plastering and plastering on the walls were done by themselves as temporary repairs because they did not have the funds for large-scale repairs. During the rainy season, teaching and learning is very difficult. Students have to study while worrying about their safety.
Mr. Nguyen Ke Hau - Director of Mo Duc Continuing Education Center said that the school had planned to move students from the second campus to the main campus for convenience, but many parents objected because many of the students' homes were too far away.

“Maintaining these degraded classrooms not only affects the quality of teaching but also poses a potential safety risk, especially during the rainy and stormy season. Therefore, the school has stopped arranging for more than 80 grade 10 students to study in the above two classrooms and arranged for them to study in two classrooms built in 2019 to ensure safety for teaching and learning,” said Mr. Hau.
Not only facility 2, at facility 1 many functional rooms also show signs of degradation and damage.

Mo Duc Continuing Education Center used to be under the control of Mo Duc District (old). From July 1, 2025, the unit was transferred to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai. Previously, the Center had sent many requests to the District People's Committee and the District Finance and Accounting Department to request funding for the construction and repair of the second-level classrooms. However, the requests were not approved.
Mr. Hau added that the recommendations and submissions from 2022 and 2023 have not received positive responses. The classrooms are deteriorating more and more, while the teaching and learning needs of nearly 650 students are still urgent. The school hopes to have funds for repairs so that teachers and students can study with peace of mind.

Regarding this issue, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province said that the Department has just received the Mo Duc Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center for a few months now. The Department has just sent a document to the localities and affiliated educational institutions to review and make statistics on facilities and teaching equipment. Based on the report, the Department will synthesize and make a plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration, approval and allocation of funds.
“In case the Center has a proposal, we will forward it to the General Finance Department. As soon as there is a specific proposal, we will send staff to inspect the situation, assess the needs, and then advise on a solution,” Mr. Thai informed.

The school is as dilapidated as an abandoned house, students were shocked when they received their classes.
