Therefore, starting early this morning, workers began carrying out their assigned tasks. The old Sa Dec bridge is being dismantled, beginning with the middle span and expanding to both sides of the bridge.

Despite unfavorable weather conditions today due to rain, the contractor still arranged for workers to work continuously on the construction site.

At the construction site, the company has deployed many specialized pieces of equipment and machinery to carry out the dismantling of the old bridge. It is expected that by the end of today, the workers will have completed the dismantling of the railings on the bridge.

Currently, the contractor is temporarily stockpiling waste materials at both ends of the bridge. Later, the contractor will transport them to a pre-prepared waste disposal site with an area of ​​0.5 hectares."

According to Mr. Tam, the old Sa Dec bridge is expected to be dismantled within 90 days. After completion, the contractor will begin construction on the first items related to raising the clearance of the new bridge.

According to the plan, after the waste materials are collected at the site, the contractor and related units will select which materials are needed for disposal or removal, depending on the purpose.

Ensuring traffic safety

Starting yesterday, the contractor and related units opened the temporary bridge to traffic. The purpose of this is to divert traffic and ensure safety during construction.

The contractor is urgently working on raising the clearance of the Sa Dec bridge. At the same time, traffic safety measures are being implemented in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc (50 years old, residing in Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province) said that he and his family have to frequently travel near the construction site.

"My house is on this side of the Sa Dec bridge, but the Nang Hai market is on the other side. Therefore, I have to go to the market every day to get food, but when I pass by the construction site with safety barriers and traffic diversions, I feel reassured," Mr. Phuc said.

Nguyen Van Thang (27 years old, residing in Sa Dec city, Dong Thap province) - a truck driver - shared: "Previously, I often transported goods across the Sa Dec bridge. Now that the old bridge has been dismantled for new construction, I follow the traffic diversion. I find that this diversion doesn't significantly affect traffic flow and also ensures safety."

The Sa Dec Bridge in Sa Dec City (Dong Thap province) is being upgraded to a higher clearance, requiring the acquisition of a total of 1.51 hectares of land, with compensation provided to a total of 83 households.
