The son was stunned to hear that Liu had been fired.
A review of episode 20 of "Life Is Still Beautiful," airing on the evening of May 16th, reveals a scene where Thach (Viet Hoang) goes to the boarding house to look for Luu (Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai) because he couldn't contact him by phone. Upon arriving at the boarding house, Thach is informed by Dien (To Dung): "He's probably out loading goods. He's been very diligent lately, taking on every job."
Thạch went to see Lưu and was stunned to hear that his father had been fired.
This information surprised Thach because Luu had previously announced that he had quit his manual labor job to become a security guard so that his son could be proud to have a father with a stable job. Realizing he had accidentally revealed Luu's secret, Dien quickly covered it up: "I heard your father say that he had the day off from work over there, so he's taking advantage of the opportunity to go to the market and earn whatever he can."
However, shortly afterward, Thach accidentally overheard a conversation between Dien and Binh (Minh Cuc) and learned that his father had been fired for losing a customer's car and had to pay a large sum of money in compensation.
Bat played a trick on Thach, causing him to lose his watch.
Luyen's charming sales skills earned her effusive praise from customers.
In another development, while working, Luyen (Thanh Huong) met a customer who enthusiastically bought fruit and didn't hesitate to shower Luyen with compliments.
Accordingly, after quoting the prices of the fruits at the counter, Luyen enthusiastically informed the customer: "If you're too busy, I can deliver them right to your door." In response, the customer quickly complimented Luyen on her beauty and charm. However, the customer's gaze kept lingering on Luyen's curves, seemingly with ill intentions.
Also in episode 20 of "Life Is Still Beautiful," after receiving advice and being lent an outfit to make a striking appearance at his girlfriend's first meeting with her close friends, Thach returns home and is horrified to find that he has lost the expensive watch that his boss lent him.
Thach called Bat and asked, "Did you see the watch I was wearing yesterday? The watch I borrowed from the owner?" However, Bat deliberately avoided answering Thach's question and instead inquired about the launch event, leading many to believe that Bat was the "mastermind" behind this theft.
Bat "plays tricks" by stealing things Thach borrowed from his boss.
Will Thach have to pay for the expensive watch? The answer will be revealed in episode 20 of "Life Is Still Beautiful," airing on VTV3 on the evening of May 16th.
