Bayern are interested in buying Harry Kane.

Bayern have submitted a $77 million offer plus add-ons for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

The reigning Bundesliga champions are looking for a top-class striker, and Kane is their top target. However, Bayern will have to compete with several formidable rivals if they want to acquire the 29-year-old forward.

Kane has only one year left on his contract, but Tottenham will not let him go for less than $100 million, according to The Guardian . If another English club makes an offer, Tottenham will demand an additional $22 million. The North London club's preference not to sell their star striker to domestic rivals could increase Bayern's chances of signing Kane.

Kane was a transfer target for Man Utd under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. New manager Erik ten Hag also admired the England captain. Two years ago, Man City came close to signing Kane but the deal fell through. A year later, Pep Guardiola's team shifted their focus, signing Erling Haaland instead.

According to The Athletic , coach Carlo Ancelotti told the Real Madrid board about his desire to sign Kane during a meeting in early June.

Tottenham's contract extension negotiations with Kane stalled last season, as the England striker insisted he wanted to focus on helping the club qualify for the Champions League. However, after a turbulent season, he and his teammates finished only eighth in the Premier League and failed to qualify for any European competition next season.

In February, Kane became Tottenham's all-time leading scorer, breaking the previous record of 266 goals set by legend Jimmy Greaves. A month later, he also became England's all-time leading scorer. However, Kane has yet to win any domestic or international titles.

Kane scored 213 goals in 317 appearances for Tottenham. He was the Premier League's top scorer for three seasons: 2015-2016, 2016-2017, and 2020-2021.
