This event is held annually, rotating among localities in the region. The forum has become an event for connecting, exchanging, sharing and cooperating in the production, promotion and trade of OCOP products in the region. In addition, the forum is also a space for consumers and domestic and foreign distribution businesses to access, experience and trade OCOP products.
The Mekong Delta has many potentials and advantages. Up to now, the region has had more than 3,900 products of more than 2,000 OCOP entities achieving 3 stars or more; the number of OCOP products ranks second in the country, only after the Red River Delta; in which, the proportion of OCOP products is food, accounting for the majority at 82.3%. That result reflects the appropriate approach and direction in developing OCOP products in localities, exploiting the region's advantages in fruits, seafood, and rice, to develop unique products with the characteristics of the Mekong Delta region.
