Cho Ray Hospital appoints two more deputy directors.

On the afternoon of March 6th, the Ministry of Health announced the simultaneous appointment of two deputy directors of Cho Ray Hospital: Dr. Pham Thanh Viet and pharmacist Nguyen Quoc Binh.

Attendees included Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan, former Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, and former Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son.

Acting on behalf of the Minister of Health, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Head of the Personnel and Organization Department (Ministry of Health) - announced the decision appointing Dr. Pham Thanh Viet as Deputy Director in charge of professional affairs and pharmacist Nguyen Quoc Binh as Deputy Director in charge of economic affairs .

The term of office is 5 years.

The simultaneous appointment of two deputy directors is a significant event, helping to strengthen the rather "thin" leadership structure of Cho Ray Hospital in recent times. Thus, currently, in addition to Director Nguyen Tri Thuc, Cho Ray Hospital has three deputy directors: Dr. Lam Viet Trung, Dr. Pham Thanh Viet, and pharmacist Nguyen Quoc Binh.

Mr. Tran Van Thuan congratulated the two newly appointed individuals, as well as Cho Ray Hospital.

On this occasion, he conveyed seven points, hoping that the board of directors of Cho Ray Hospital would cooperate with the Ministry of Health.

In particular, this involves the development, amendment, and improvement of policy systems related to the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, and soon the Law on Medical Equipment, the Law on Population, etc.

He affirmed that Cho Ray Hospital's achievements over the past time are based on inheriting "invaluable assets" from the achievements of previous generations. The hospital is increasingly asserting its position as a top-tier, multidisciplinary, specialized hospital and a leading institution in the healthcare sector of the Southern region.

"When streamlining the personnel structure, the hospital needs clear assignments to avoid overlapping responsibilities. I hope the hospital will continue to develop, keep patients at the center, and gradually improve the quality of medical examination and treatment and patient satisfaction," Mr. Thuan shared.

Doctor Pham Thanh Viet and pharmacist Nguyen Quoc Binh expressed their deep emotion at being entrusted with the position of deputy director of the hospital and pledged to work diligently with the team to further develop the hospital and make it a regional leader.

Dr. Pham Thanh Viet, born in 1971 in Kien Giang province, holds a Specialist Doctor II qualification and graduated as a General Practitioner from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City in 1997. He has been affiliated with Cho Ray Hospital since 2000.

Pharmacist Nguyen Quoc Binh, born in 1973 in Phu Tho province, holds a PhD in Pharmacy and a Master's degree in Business Administration. He graduated from Hanoi Medical University in 1995 and has been working at Cho Ray Hospital since 2010.

Prior to his appointment as deputy director of Cho Ray Hospital, Dr. Pham Thanh Viet was the head of the general planning department and also in charge of the medical equipment department.

Pharmacist Nguyen Quoc Binh is the director of the Drug Information and Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring (DI & ADR) center, and also the head of the pharmacy department.
