Trust in the maid was shattered when the homeowner accidentally discovered a horrifying secret through surveillance cameras.

Naphonthip (46 years old, from Phitsanulok, Thailand) is facing charges of theft from the family of Nuankamon, her employer, where she worked as a part-time maid. The stolen items include gold, silver, and other valuable jewelry.

Specifically, Naphonthip was hired as a domestic helper for Mrs. Nuankamon's family starting in early November 2024. She worked three hours a week on Wednesdays, earning 300 Baht (approximately 230,000 VND).

During her employment, Naphonthip was considered diligent and performed her duties well by her employer. However, in reality, she had a habit of stealing items from the house and also had a gambling addiction.

Ms. Nuankamon became suspicious when she discovered that many valuable pieces of jewelry in her house were continuously disappearing, with the total value of the losses amounting to more than 120,000 Baht (approximately 91 million VND).

To find the culprit, Nuankamon secretly installed surveillance cameras in her house. The images captured by the cameras clearly showed that her maid, Naphonthip, was the one who stole the items.

After gathering evidence, the police arrested Naphonthip. At the police station, she confessed to all her crimes. Naphonthip stated that due to her online gambling addiction, she stole property from her landlord to sell and use the money. She also admitted to committing thefts more than 10 times.
