An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang sent a letter of greeting to cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers and all the people of An Giang.

In May 2021, I was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. This is an honor, but also a very heavy responsibility. For more than 4 years of work, I have devoted all my enthusiasm and heart with the wish that my hometown An Giang will develop more and more, and that the people will have a prosperous and happy life.

Looking back over the past years, An Giang has faced many unprecedented difficulties and challenges that seemed impossible to overcome, especially the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the spirit of solidarity, shared responsibility, consensus, support and efforts of comrades, colleagues and the entire people, An Giang has gradually overcome difficulties and achieved many important achievements: The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be clean and strong in all aspects has made much progress. National defense and security have been ensured, and foreign relations have been increasingly expanded. During the COVID-19 pandemic, An Giang has implemented synchronous and drastic measures to safely adapt, effectively control the epidemic, protect the health and lives of the people and gradually recover and develop the socio-economy; basically completing the main and important goals set out, the average GRDP per capita is estimated at 74 - 75 million VND/person/year. Policies and regimes for the poor and those with meritorious services have been timely supported, the poverty rate has decreased to about 1.52%. An Giang has completed ahead of schedule the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, helping people "settle down and make a living". Many projects have been implemented such as the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway, completing the National Highway 91 connection route, Long Xuyen bypass and Chau Doc bridge... gradually removing bottlenecks in traffic infrastructure, creating conditions for socio-economic development and people's lives. In particular, the Via Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Festival was recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, which is the pride of the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang in particular and the whole country in general, etc.

On June 30, 2025, the Ceremony of the Central Committee's Decision on the merger of An Giang and Kien Giang provinces into a new province named An Giang and the establishment of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee took place; on July 1, 2025, the two-level local government system officially operated synchronously throughout the country. This important event marked a revolutionary turning point, opening a new chapter on the province's development path. At the same time, this was also the time when I ended my duties as Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee and was assigned by the Politburo to the Central Committee to take up a new responsibility.

“ When we are here, it is just a place to live, when we leave, the land becomes our soul ”. For me, the time of more than 4 years serving the Party, government and people of An Giang, although not long compared to a human life, is enough for me to feel, understand, attach and carry in my memory. I am grateful and cherish the feelings, sense of responsibility, care, help and support of my comrades, colleagues and people, helping me to complete the tasks assigned by the Central Committee.

No one is perfect! Although I have made great efforts, adhered to my principles, and maintained my stance, all for the common good and for the development of An Giang, it is difficult to avoid certain shortcomings in my work. I sincerely hope that my comrades, colleagues, and the people will understand, sympathize, share, and forgive me.

I deeply believe that, under the correct leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam , and the solidarity, efforts, and determination of the Party Committee, government, and people, An Giang province will develop strongly and make breakthroughs, steadily entering a new era of development with the whole country, worthy of being the homeland of beloved President Ton Duc Thang.
