Binh Duong begins construction on a large-scale housing project in the New City.

On the morning of February 28th, in Binh Duong New City, Capitaland Group (Singapore) held the groundbreaking ceremony for The Orchard SYCAMORE component project.

Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Minister of Construction ; Mr. Kho Ngee Seng Roy, Consul General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City; and leaders from Binh Duong province and several other localities in the region.

Leaders from the Singapore Consulate General, Binh Duong province, along with Becamex IDC and Capitaland, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, emphasized that this is a large-scale project with a very important location in the New City, next to the central park and the province's centralized administrative area.

SYCAMORE is CapitaLand's first large-scale residential project (18.9 hectares) in Vietnam, comprising nearly 3,500 apartments and accommodating approximately 13,000 residents. The total project development value is approximately VND 18,000 billion.

Capitaland is a corporation with extensive experience in project development and housing development. Therefore, the project's completion will contribute to the development of Binh Duong New City and further strengthen investment cooperation between Binh Duong province and Singaporean partners.

To develop this project, CapitaLand is partnering with UOA Group of Malaysia.
