On the evening of July 7, at a press conference for the first 6 months of 2025, the Ministry of Public Security and the leaders of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (C05) informed about the investigation and verification process of information spread on social networks accusing CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company of selling diseased pork.
According to the leader of C05, on May 30, after receiving information on social networks denouncing the act of using sick pigs and sick chickens to sell on the market, C05 promptly directed and coordinated with the Hau Giang Provincial Police (old) and Soc Trang Provincial Police (old) to inspect.
Based on the report of the Hau Giang and Soc Trang Provincial Police, there is now sufficient evidence to determine the content of the case. Based on the results of the verification and resolution of Mr. Lieu Quy Ngan's criminal denunciation; based on Clause 2, Article 157 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Soc Trang Provincial Police investigation agency decided not to prosecute the case.

Previously, the Soc Trang Provincial Police Investigation Agency received a crime report with the following content: On May 30, on the social network of the account "Jonny Lieu", information was posted about a complaint of violations of food safety laws.
The content of the accusation against the Vietnamese government for using diseased pork and chicken with a foul odor to bring to Freshop My Xuyen - Soc Trang to sell to the market and included many pictures of pigs showing signs of disease.
In early June, the leaders of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine reported to the Minister of Agriculture and Environment the results of checking information spread on social networks about the complaint against the Vietnamese Government.
Afterwards, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien signed an official dispatch to the Ministry of Public Security regarding the investigation and handling of information spread on social networks about the accusation that CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company sold diseased pork.
In early July, the Soc Trang Provincial Police Investigation Agency decided not to prosecute the criminal case against the crime accusation of Mr. Lieu Quy Ngan, whose permanent address is in Soc Trang.
