These units are also required to work and coordinate with Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces to receive guidance and promptly resolve any obstacles in the process of investing in and constructing port facilities and infrastructure for processing, transshipment, and coal storage in the Central region.
To boost coal imports from Laos to Vietnam, Quang Tri province has recently made efforts to remove obstacles and guide businesses through the necessary procedures so that projects can be implemented soon.
Nam Tien Co., Ltd. and Phonesack Vietnam Co., Ltd. are implementing numerous projects related to coal import with capital amounting to trillions of VND, such as the project to build a coal conveyor belt from Laos to Vietnam via the La Lay international border gate, over 6.1km long; a warehouse in A Deng village, A Ngo commune (Dakrong district); and a specialized coal port and warehouse at My Thuy port (Hai Lang district)...
According to La Lay customs, in the first 10 months of the year, this border gate processed 1.7 million tons of coal, collecting 370 billion VND in taxes.
