The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a ceremony to announce and hand over decisions on the transfer and appointment of management leaders.

On the afternoon of April 26, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son handed over decisions on the transfer and appointment of heads of a number of units of the Ministry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son emphasized the special significance of this event, as this is the first decision-making ceremony after the process of merging, consolidating and restructuring the organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on innovation, streamlining the organization of the political system, and effective and efficient operations.

On behalf of the Ministry's leadership, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son sent warm congratulations to the appointed comrades, and affirmed that this is a worthy recognition for the continuous efforts and contributions of the staff throughout their working time, demonstrating the trust and great expectations of the Ministry's leadership for the capacity, courage and political qualities of the new leadership team.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister said that today's transfer and appointment decisions are not only administrative, but also the first step in implementing a new, streamlined and efficient apparatus, requiring a higher spirit of innovation, creativity and responsibility throughout the Ministry.

Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has basically completed the work of restructuring the organizational structure, reducing the number of departments and divisions from 40 to 24, and reorganizing the National Border Committee and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese according to the department-level model under the Ministry. The Ministry has also taken over the functions, tasks and personnel from the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, demonstrating a major transition in political and foreign affairs functions, as well as the Party and State's high trust in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Emphasizing the particularly important role of unit leaders in the new period, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister requested that the appointed comrades focus on four key tasks: First, proactively grasp the functions and tasks, promptly stabilize the organization and reasonably assign work. Second, connect the staff, promote collective intelligence, and build consensus within the unit. Third, innovate working methods, apply technology, and streamline processes to improve work quality and progress. Fourth, maintain political will, public ethics, and serve the interests of the nation.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister expressed his belief that with the spirit of "solidarity - discipline - innovation - responsibility - efficiency", the new leaders will work with the unit to overcome all challenges, excellently complete assigned tasks, and actively contribute to the country's foreign affairs in the new period.
