Over 7,000 additional train tickets will be available for sale during the Tet holiday.

DNO - To serve passengers during the peak Tet holiday season of the Year of the Dragon 2024, the railway industry is organizing an additional 6 trains with more than 7,000 seats from Ho Chi Minh City to other localities during Tet.

On January 19th, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced that, in order to meet the needs of people returning home for the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon), the railway industry will operate an additional 6 trains from Ho Chi Minh City to the north and add more carriages, providing over 7,000 seats.

Specifically, the railway sector has added TN4 and SE24 trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi on January 30th (the 20th day of the 12th lunar month); SE14 and SE16 trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh on January 31st (the 21st day of the 12th lunar month); and SPT4 train from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet on February 11th and 12th (the 2nd and 3rd days of the 1st lunar month).

Tickets will be available for sale through all railway ticketing channels such as the website: www.dsvn.vn; www.vetau.com.vn; via e-wallet applications, train ticket booking apps on mobile devices, or by contacting train stations, ticket sales points and ticket agents of Vietnam Railways, or by calling the ticket sales hotline.

Previously, on December 26, 2023, the railway sector added 3,000 seats (train tickets) for the first time, traveling from Saigon, Di An, and Bien Hoa stations to stations from Quang Ngai to Hanoi and vice versa during the peak Tet holiday period of the Year of the Dragon 2024, from January 31 to February 19, 2024 (from the 21st day of the 12th lunar month to the 10th day of the 1st lunar month).

At the same time, the railway sector also operated 8 additional trains from Saigon to Hanoi and vice versa, from Quy Nhon and Quang Ngai to Saigon, and added more carriages with over 4,000 seats (train tickets).
