During the 4-day period (from July 14 to 17), students of agencies and units under the General Staff will focus on studying and learning the basic contents of: The Party and State's viewpoints on the National Defense and Security strategy in the new period; combining economics and foreign affairs with national defense and security; the basic principles of Party leadership and State management of national defense and security tasks in the context of the country's international integration and accelerated industrialization and modernization; new requirements for implementing the two strategic tasks of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, as a basis for application in consulting and organizing implementation in each assigned position and responsibility, in accordance with the actual situation of the unit.

Speaking at the opening of the class, Colonel Nguyen Van Dai emphasized that the training course on national defense and security knowledge aims to equip students with basic contents on the Party and State's guidelines, viewpoints, and legal policies on national defense and security; socio-economic development associated with building a national defense and people's security posture; as a basis to help students apply and do well in their professional work, advise leaders and commanders at all levels to organize and implement national defense and security tasks in agencies and units to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

In order for the training course to achieve the required objectives, Colonel Nguyen Van Dai requested the comrades to prepare lesson plans, through lectures that are complete, thoughtful and timely updated, adjusted, and supplemented with new information, including basic and advanced knowledge related to the work of national defense and security in agencies and units. Along with accurately and fully conveying the content, there is good coordination with the Steering Committee to organize inspections and evaluate the results to ensure accuracy and objectivity.

In addition, the students actively and proactively studied, researched, and discussed to clarify theoretical and practical issues, viewpoints, policies, and guidelines of the Party on National Defense and Security. Thereby, improving the level and skills of organizing and implementing tasks; unifying awareness, promoting the sense of responsibility, resolutely fighting to defeat all plots and tricks of hostile forces, effectively preventing negative phenomena in society, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive agency and unit.
