Enhance the sense of responsibility of the Sub-committees in organizing the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements

On the morning of July 14, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong chaired a meeting with representatives of the Sub-committees assisting the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

According to the report on the implementation of the Exhibition, in the recent past, the Sub-committees have actively carried out their assigned tasks. Specifically:

The Content Subcommittee has advised on the development and submission to the Head of the Steering Committee for signing and promulgation of the Decision approving the Exhibition Organization Project; Advised on the development and submission to the competent authority for signing and promulgation of Decisions as the basis for organizing the Exhibition, completing and perfecting the personnel work of the Exhibition; Advised on the development of programs and plans of the Exhibition; Prepared content and documents for meetings of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee and related reports; Advised on the allocation of areas for exhibition zones; Synthesized the outline of content and design of the agencies participating in the Exhibition.

The Finance Subcommittee has compiled the budgets of the agencies participating in the Exhibition, sent them to the Ministry of Finance for appraisal, and reported to the Prime Minister.

The Foreign Affairs Subcommittee has sent invitations to countries, representative offices of intergovernmental organizations... to participate in the Exhibition.

The Celebration Subcommittee has consulted on the development of a general identity plan and a celebration decoration plan for the Exhibition.

In the coming time, the Subcommittees need to focus on developing action plans and implementing assigned tasks. For the Content Subcommittee, it is necessary to urgently complete the work of giving opinions on the content outline and design of the agencies participating in the Exhibition; preside over and coordinate with international consultants to complete the overall design plan; construction and staging plan for the Exhibition; preside over and coordinate with the Propaganda Subcommittee to create promotional videos and introduce the Exhibition; advise and develop the organization plan, content, program, and script for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies; coordinate with Vietnam Television to develop a live television plan.

For the Propaganda Subcommittee: Urgently complete the Propaganda Plan; Develop a plan to manage and operate the Press Center; Organize and implement propaganda campaigns to promote the Exhibition.

For the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee: Urgently summarize and report to the Steering Committee and the Head of the Organizing Committee on the list of countries and representative agencies of intergovernmental organizations participating in the Exhibition to have a suitable plan for site arrangement.

For the Celebration Subcommittee: Complete and report to the Steering Committee the general identity, celebration decoration designs, visual propaganda...; send to units for propaganda and implementation; Develop design plans and implement publications, gifts... of the Exhibition.

For the Security, Order and Health Subcommittee: Develop a plan to ensure security, order, safety, traffic plans and fire prevention and fighting for activities before and during the Exhibition, Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony; Establish a medical working group, prepare essential means and medicines to ensure food safety, health care and medical care for delegates, visitors, officers, employees and workers performing the tasks of the Exhibition.

For the Reception, Logistics and Facilities Subcommittee: Coordinate with the Content Subcommittee, other Subcommittees and Vietnam Exhibition Fair Joint Stock Company to prepare conditions and facilities for the construction of displays and activities at the Exhibition; Develop a reception, logistics, and reception plan, layout, and arrangement of delegates and guests at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, programs, and activities of the Exhibition.

• The Prime Minister directed to urgently focus on organizing the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

At the meeting, representatives of the Subcommittees discussed and exchanged on the implementation status as well as raised difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.

Based on the comments, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong requested the Subcommittees to urgently develop a detailed plan for implementation. The Deputy Minister also noted some key issues regarding content censorship; card templates before and during the Exhibition activities;...
