According to the forecast, from 2:00 p.m. on July 14, in the next 3-6 hours, the average rainfall will range from 20-40mm, some places may exceed 70mm. Heavy rain can cause flooding with an average depth of 15-20cm, some key streets may be flooded deeper, from 20-40cm.
The meteorological agency said flooding only occurs during periods of heavy rain and is expected to recede within 30-60 minutes after the rain stops.

However, deeply flooded streets can cause local traffic congestion, making it difficult for vehicles to move.
The level of flood disaster risk is assessed at level 1. People are advised to limit movement through flooded areas and closely monitor weather forecasts to proactively respond.
Authorities in Hanoi are also stepping up measures to ensure traffic and support drainage at flood hotspots.
