BSR completes maintenance of RFCC Workshop

(Baoquangngai.vn)- Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ) has just received the Fluidized Bed Catalytic Cracking Workshop (RFCC) after it was successfully maintained by the contractor. This workshop plays an important role in the project package No. 1 of the 5th general maintenance (BDTT) of Dung Quat Oil Refinery (NMLD).

The RFCC workshop is considered the “heart” of Dung Quat Refinery with a structure consisting of 3 main clusters: the reaction cluster, the separation cluster and the recovery cluster. This is also the workshop with the most complex technological configuration, the operating mode produces many important products of the plant. This workshop was handed over by BSR to the joint venture of PTSC Quang Ngai, Falkor Engineering Service Pte. Ltd and Boilermaster Vietnam Co. Ltd from March 17 to conduct general maintenance.

BSR received RFCC workshop after being maintained by the contractor.

According to Deputy Director of PTSC Quang Ngai Ngo Tan Quang, this is the first time PTSC Quang Ngai has received a contract to maintain the RFCC Workshop - one of the most important technological workshops of Dung Quat Oil Refinery. To successfully maintain this important workshop, the contractor consortium has proactively prepared crane systems in many areas, prepared materials and equipment, installed scaffolding, created 3D and 4D drawings; selected experienced personnel who are capable of working in high-pressure environments and limited spaces to meet quality and progress requirements.

After receiving the RFCC workshop, BSR immediately started the workshop startup according to the operating process, loading raw materials and producing products. This is the last technology workshop to be handed over and restarted during the 5th BTT of Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
