A delegation of commune officials and youth union members from Phong Hiep commune visited and presented gifts to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phung.

In contrast to its usual quiet atmosphere, on this last day of July, the small house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phung (Hamlet 12, Phong Hiep Commune, Ca Mau Province) was filled with the laughter and chatter of young men and women in their green youth uniforms .

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phung (born in 1948) has a father who was a martyr, and she is a person who contributed to the revolution. Every year, on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th), Ms. Phung's house, like many other families of those who contributed to the revolution, welcomes many delegations who come to visit and give gifts. This year, that joy was multiplied when members of the Youth Union of the commune visited her house and together cooked a "Warm and Loving Family Meal." While preparing ingredients and cooking, the young people listened to Ms. Phung recount stories of the glorious and heroic resistance war.

Youth union members and young people prepare a meal together at Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phung's house.

The meal consisted of simple dishes like fried fish, stir-fried beans, and stewed meat soup... but it was delicious and filled with heartfelt affection. In a warm atmosphere, Mrs. Phung and the village and commune officials, along with youth union members, chatted happily and enjoyed a heartwarming meal together, expressing the deep gratitude of the younger generation .

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phung shared a "warm and loving family meal" with the youth union members.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phung said emotionally, "I am very happy to be sitting down to eat with the young members of the Youth Union. They remind me of my younger days when I participated in resistance organizations. I am even happier to see that they understand the value of independence and freedom, and appreciate and are grateful to those who came before them."

The meal not only allows the younger generation to bond but also serves as a practical traditional educational activity, contributing to spreading the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," fostering patriotism, and instilling a spirit of dedication in each youth union member.
