Unique durian buffet in Ho Chi Minh City: Nearly 2 tons sold out, stopping accepting customers early.

Nearly 2 tons of durian prepared for a durian buffet sold out completely, forcing the store in Ho Chi Minh City to announce they would stop accepting customers earlier than planned.

Yesterday, a durian buffet event held at a fruit shop on Ba Thang Hai Street in Hoa Hung Ward (formerly Ward 12, District 10) went viral on social media. Many customers in Ho Chi Minh City enthusiastically flocked to experience this unique event, as it was the first time they had ever tasted durian in a buffet style.

Fruits T&T, the organizer of the event, said they have prepared nearly 2 tons of carefully selected durians from orchards in Dong Nai province for the event. The event took place on Sunday, July 6th, and was initially scheduled to last from 10 am to 7 pm.

However, due to the large number of customers, the store ran out of durian. The store had to announce that it would temporarily stop accepting customers earlier than scheduled.

"The overwhelming positive response from the community and media exceeded expectations, resulting in a large turnout in a very short time. Due to weather conditions and some transportation difficulties, the additional batch of durian could not arrive as originally planned. For that reason, we regret having to temporarily stop accepting customers at the final time slot of 7 PM," the store stated.

The restaurant apologizes for the inconvenience and hopes for the understanding of its customers. They stated that adjustments and improvements will be made to provide a more complete and professional experience in future events, and expressed gratitude to customers for their support during this event.

The durian served at the event received much praise from the guests.

A representative from Fruits T&T fruit store said this is the third time the store has organized a durian buffet event, following the success of the first event held in the new Dong Thap (formerly Tien Giang).

Diners in Ho Chi Minh City who visit this restaurant for a durian buffet can enjoy unlimited durian for one hour at a price of 199,000 VND per buffet ticket. "The durian buffet events we organize utilize Vietnamese durian, with the aim of widely promoting local agricultural products and supporting local farmers," a representative of the restaurant added.
