Teacher forced to resign after strangling colleague.

The teacher who choked a colleague in the schoolyard, causing public outrage and seriously violating the ethics of the teaching profession, has been dismissed from his job.

On October 30th, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province unanimously agreed on the disciplinary measure of dismissal for Mr. Dang Tang, a mathematics teacher at Vo Nguyen Giap High School in Ea O commune. Mr. Tang was the person who choked a colleague right at the school.

According to the school's report, while serving a disciplinary warning, Mr. Tang continued to physically assault a colleague by pushing him in the neck on the school grounds, seriously affecting the teaching environment and the reputation of the teacher.

Earlier, on the morning of October 3rd, while Mr. Nguyen Truc Sinh - the school's Youth Union Secretary - was checking order on the school grounds and reminding Mr. Tang about parking in the wrong spot, Mr. Tang raised his voice and choked Mr. Sinh twice in front of students and security guards.

The school has documented the injuries and reported the incident to the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Education and Training and the Ea O Commune Police for handling according to regulations.

On October 18th, Vo Nguyen Giap High School held a meeting to review the conduct of Mr. Dang Tang.

At the meeting, Mr. Tang did not write a self-criticism report, displayed an uncooperative attitude, laughed, and filmed and took photos during the meeting. All the staff, teachers, and employees present expressed their indignation and unanimously requested the establishment of a disciplinary committee to consider and handle the matter according to regulations.

The disciplinary council was established by a decision dated October 20th. During the meeting on October 25th, Mr. Tang continued to display a defiant and uncooperative attitude. 100% of the council members voted to dismiss him from his job.

According to a report submitted to the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Education and Training, from 2013 to the present, Mr. Dang Tang has been disciplined five times at various levels (reprimand, warning) at Tran Nhan Tong High School and Vo Nguyen Giap High School. Despite being warned, he continued to re-offend while under a warning.

After reviewing the records and the school's opinion, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province concluded that Mr. Tang's actions were serious in nature, extent, and impact, causing public outrage and negatively affecting the image of teachers and the educational environment.

The Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province agrees with the proposal of Vo Nguyen Giap High School and decides to dismiss Mr. Dang Tang from his job.
