Gianni Infantino shared in an interview with YouTuber IshowSpeed: "C. Ronaldo could play for one of the teams in the FIFA Club World Cup. There are discussions going on."
When asked whether Cristiano Ronaldo could play in the FIFA Club World Cup, the FIFA President replied: "Yes, he could absolutely play in the upcoming tournament. He is in discussions with several clubs. Perhaps one of the clubs would want to sign Cristiano Ronaldo before the FIFA Club World Cup."
Gianni Infantino was then asked about the possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo facing Messi's Inter Miami. The FIFA head replied: "It's possible. That's a possibility."
Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr expires at the end of this season. Both sides are negotiating a new contract but haven't reached an agreement. Many sources suggest that CR7 is in talks with Al Hilal, the only Saudi Arabian representative in the FIFA Club World Cup.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino's statement further fueled doubts about the possibility of the Portuguese superstar joining Al Hilal. Cristiano Ronaldo was unhappy with Infantino's remarks as they directly affected his contract negotiations with Al Nassr or any other potential club.
Meanwhile, according to Marca, an unnamed Brazilian club recently expressed interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo. Botafogo is one of four Brazilian clubs participating in the FIFA Club World Cup. They seem eager to potentially recruit CR7.
Botafogo coach Renato Paiva shared: "If Cristiano Ronaldo were to appear, you couldn't possibly say no to such a star. However, I know nothing about this transfer. I'm just saying that coaches all want the best players. At the age of 40, CR7 is still a goal-scoring machine."
