Although online enrollment is possible, many parents and new students prefer to go to the school in person to complete the procedures. As this is the first time their children are studying far from home, many parents are worried and want to bring them to school and find accommodation for them.

While waiting for her child to complete the enrollment procedures, Ms. Ka In (in the middle) and other family members rested and toured the school.
Upon hearing the news that her son had been accepted into the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (Tan Phu District), Mrs. Ka In (born in 1971) discussed with her family and hired a 16-seater tourist bus to travel from Bao Lam District, Lam Dong Province to Ho Chi Minh City.
On August 20th, a special vehicle transported 10 members of K'jriu's (born in 2006), a new student majoring in English, to Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade to complete the enrollment procedures.
Upon arriving at school, K'jriu and his older sister lined up to complete the procedures, while the other family members sat in the schoolyard resting. K'jriu's father, Mr. K'Nam (born in 1968), said that the family has four children, and K'jriu is the youngest son. The family is struggling financially, and the three older children all had to drop out of school; the one who studied the most only reached the 11th grade.
“Hearing the news that my son got into university, my family was extremely happy and proud. While happy, we were also very worried, fearing that he might have difficulty adapting to studying far from home,” said Mr. K’Nam.

Ka In smiled brightly and said, "I have three grandchildren, and I will definitely make sure they receive a good education."
Ms. Ka In shared that this was the most meaningful trip of her life. Although the journey was long, she didn't feel tired. It was also an opportunity for the whole family, especially her three grandchildren, to visit Ho Chi Minh City.
Every parent wants to be there for their child during important milestones. Ms. My Van's case is proof that nothing can stop the immense love a mother has for her child.
Living in Kien Giang province, Mrs. Van had an accident a few years ago and had to use a wheelchair. Yet, on her daughter's first day of school (August 20th), Mrs. Van insisted on going with her.

Ms. Van's family was present at Ton Duc Thang University to congratulate their daughter on becoming a new student.
Despite having to travel over 250km, Mrs. Van beamed with a bright smile as she saw her daughter officially become a freshman in the Graphic Design program at Ton Duc Thang University.
“Today is an important day for my child, for me, and for the whole family. That’s why I didn’t want to miss a single moment. The journey was a little difficult and tiring, but seeing my child get into their dream university program naturally made me feel better,” Mrs. Van said with a bright smile.

My Phuong smiles brightly as she fulfills her dream of getting into university and studying her favorite major.
Holding her mother's hand tightly, new student My Phuong felt very happy and warm knowing that her family was always there for her. Phuong told herself that she would study hard so that she could find a stable job in the future and help her father take care of her mother and younger sister.
