During the Hue Traditional Craft Festival, the Hue city government organized a street performance with the participation of many local art troupes and a stilt-walking group from Belgium. Throughout the performance route, the art troupes took turns performing acts showcasing traditional cultural elements.

Join Vietnam.vn in revisiting the spectacular stilt-walking performances on the streets by a Belgian stilt-walking art troupe through the photo series "Street Stilt Walking" by author Ho Ngoc Anh Tuan. The photos were taken in Thua Thien Hue during the Hue Festival 2024. These stilt-walking performances delighted thousands of tourists and residents of Hue during the festival. This was also an opportunity for Vietnam to engage in cultural exchange with countries around the world , and a testament to a happy and safe Vietnam. The photo series was also submitted to the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .

An art troupe from the Kingdom of Belgium performed on stilts on Hai Ba Trung pedestrian street. The troupe has participated in many Hue Festivals over the years, making a positive impression on audiences and tourists. The art troupes performed along major streets in Hue such as Tran Hung Dao, Le Loi, Chu Van An, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Trieu, and Ha Huy Tap, combining movement with musical and dance performances.

This is the 5th time, and this year, the troupe has nearly 50 performers. They move in unison on stilts ranging from 1 to 5 meters high, following each other rhythmically and skillfully. Occasionally, they startle the audience with frightening "tricks" that cause the stilts to shake and sway precariously.

Not stopping there, they also put on incredibly unique performances, such as walking on low stilts under high stilts, maneuvering their feet to lift stilts high into the air, running at speed on stilts… Each performance kept the audience on the edge of their seats, but then everyone erupted in cheers and joy.

Each competition category (photos and videos) has the following prizes and prize values:
– 1 Gold Medal: 70,000,000 VND
– 2 Silver Medals: 20,000,000 VND
– 3 Bronze Medals: 10,000,000 VND
– 10 Consolation Prizes: 5,000,000 VND
– The most voted-for entry: 5,000,000 VND
The winning authors will be invited by the Organizing Committee to attend the Award Ceremony and Certificate Presentation, which will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
