Following the direction of the Prime Minister at the regular Government press conference in July 2025, this year's September 2nd holiday will feature large-scale cultural festivals, with the highlight being fireworks displays in 34 provinces and cities across the country.
However, Nghe An and Ha Tinh have decided not to organize fireworks displays due to the recent storm No. 5. These two localities will prioritize resources to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and share difficulties with the people.
Thus, 32 provinces and cities across the country will simultaneously organize fireworks displays to celebrate the September 2nd holiday.
Lang Son : A special art night with the theme "Forever the Independence Flag" will take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 2 at Hung Vuong Street, Luong Van Tri Ward. The program will end with a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display combining sound and light, arousing pride in the historical traditions of the Vietnamese people.
Thanh Hoa: The low-altitude fireworks display at Vinhomes Star City Urban Area, Hac Thanh Ward has been rescheduled. Instead of the evening of August 30, the performance will be held earlier (on the evening of August 29), creating favorable conditions for people to come and enjoy.
Quang Tri: The fireworks display will take place at Ho Chi Minh Square (Dong Hoi Ward) and the Provincial Cinema and Cultural Center (Nam Dong Ha Ward) at 9:50 p.m. on September 2, after the Quang Tri - Convergence and Shine art program. The duration will last 15 minutes, including low-altitude and high-altitude fireworks.
Gia Lai: The province will organize a high-altitude fireworks display at Dai Doan Ket Square (Pleiku ward) at 9:30 p.m. on September 2, right after the special art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In Khanh Hoa: A special art program celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day will take place on the evening of September 2 at April 2 Square (Nha Trang Ward) and April 16 Square (Dong Hai Ward). The highlight of the program is a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display at the end of the program.
Dong Nai: On the evening of September 2, people will have the opportunity to admire artistic fireworks at the Provincial Square Park (Tan Trieu Ward) and Suoi Cam Lake (Binh Phuoc Ward) combined with art performances and lion - dragon dances.
Can Tho: At 8:00 p.m. on September 2, there will be a live television art program to welcome and display high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks at Tay Do Park (Hung Phu Ward), Xa No Park (Vi Tan Ward) and Urban Area 5A (Phu Loi Ward).
Dong Thap: The art program and fireworks display will take place on the evening of September 2 at Hung Vuong Square, Dao Thanh Ward, lasting 15 minutes.
An Giang: On the evening of September 2, An Giang will organize fireworks displays at 7 p.m. at Tran Quang Khai Square (Rach Gia Ward) and the old airport runway (Phu Quoc special zone).
Ca Mau: The fireworks display will take place at 9:30 p.m. on September 1 at Phan Ngoc Hien Square (An Xuyen Ward) and Hung Vuong Square (Bac Lieu Ward)…
It can be said that the jubilant fireworks displays on the occasion of September 2nd are a strong affirmation of the strong vitality as well as the spirit of solidarity and the will to rise of the Vietnamese people. That will be a priceless spiritual gift for all people across the country.
