According to relatives, a year ago, when he was hospitalized, musician Thế Hiển had terminal cancer. “If he were in the hospital now, he would undergo chemotherapy, but my father’s health is very weak,” said musician Thế Hiển’s daughter.

Artist Phuong Dung shared that when she read the news that singer Ngoc Son visited his senior, she couldn't help but be surprised. "It's been a long time since I last saw him, since the time he performed at the Trong Dong stage, 126. I had to tell Phi Phung and ask everyone else. When I got his phone number, I immediately contacted him," the female artist confided.

In addition to visiting and encouraging, artist Phi Phung's group also sent musician The Hien some money. Both of them told their senior: "We wish you a speedy recovery. Take care of your health so that you can play for us again in the future."

Currently, he is being cared for by his wife and children. "On the hospital bed, next to him is the guitar that has contributed to many great songs," said artist Phi Phung.

Thế Hiển was once recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as the musician who wrote the most about soldiers.
