The music program with the theme Wild orchids still bloom to commemorate musician The Hien took place at the Southern National Funeral Home (5 Pham Ngu Lao, Hanh Thong ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

In the space of the Southern National Funeral Home, amidst the heavy rain, the singers sang the song “Sing About Him” to open the music night. They were all friends, colleagues and students of musician Thế Hiển.
Musician Nguyen Quang Vinh, who directed the program, gave the opening speech: "The passing of People's Artist, musician, singer The Hien has left the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association as well as the audience and colleagues with a great loss. Musician Nguyen Quang Vinh thanked The Hien's family and artists for organizing this memorial service. With more than half a century of attachment to the instrument and musical notes, the musician left behind a huge legacy, rich in emotions and diverse with many different topics.

Singer Phuong Thanh shared in the rain: "In the 1990s, when I joined the musician association and met Mr. The Hien, and when I sang and did social work and had contact with him, he was a person with great energy, loving everyone. I was lucky to meet and know him for the past 30 years."

From the family side, singer Anh Thuy - the musician's daughter-in-law - also joined in singing the song "Nostalgia from a Distant Island" to send him off.
"As father Hien's daughter-in-law, I have been very moved these past few days because many of you have come to say goodbye to him, many from far away. Tonight is the last night to say goodbye to him, tomorrow morning the family will take him to his final resting place. In the moments of confusion, if there is any mistake, the family hopes everyone will forgive us" - Mr. Thuy said.
At the end of the program, musician Thế Hiển's extended family stood on the stage and thanked everyone. His children said: "Our father always wanted everyone to love life, in each of his songs. Thank you to the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association for organizing a very special program to see him off in his final moments."
