Hong Nhung revealed that she suffered complications after surgery a year ago. This came as a surprise to the singer, who said: “After the surgery, and after treatments like radiation therapy, taking medication, and seeing doctors, I thought everything was over. Suddenly, now I have complications that require me to go to the hospital to deal with.”

The singer from the 70s generation confided that she has had to go in and out of the hospital for health monitoring lately. Despite this, Hong Nhung still maintains her stage performances and arranges her schedule to take care of her children.

The female artist confided: "I have to say that the last four months have been a difficult time for me. Although the doctors took good care of me during the minor surgeries I underwent, they only addressed the symptoms and haven't found the root cause of this complication to completely cure it."

According to Hong Nhung, one of the most important issues at this time is her mental state. The artist admits that she cannot avoid feeling anxious and confused, even though she knows that her case is milder than others. For Hong Nhung, this is also a test of her patience in her journey to fight the disease.

Over the past four months, despite facing the after-effects of surgery, Hong Nhung has persevered with her treatment. She says that thanks to years of disciplined living, exercise, and the love she has received from others, she has learned to be stronger in the face of life's challenges.

"And that's what makes me want to sing even more, to create, to meet the audience, and to continue sharing the joys of life. Hong Nhung chose not to hide her illness because if her story can help another woman proactively get early screening, then that would be meaningful," the 70s-era singer shared.
