Idol singer dies at age 25, suspected suicide.

According to Allkpop, Soompi, and many other South Korean news outlets, at approximately 8:10 PM on April 19th, Moonbin's manager discovered him deceased at his home and immediately notified the police. Authorities arrived at the scene shortly afterward.

Police said preliminary examinations suggest Moonbin may have committed suicide. However, further investigation is needed to determine the exact cause of the idol's death.

Moonbin's management company and family have not confirmed his death. However, some news outlets report that his funeral will be held at the Ansan Hospital Funeral Home.

The news came as a huge shock to the public, especially fans of Moobin and the group ASTRO. They said the singer and actor had shown no signs of being unwell beforehand, and he also had many upcoming work schedules.

Moonbin entered the entertainment industry as a child model and actor at the age of 6. He appeared in the drama "Boys Over Flowers" as a young So Yi-jung. In 2016, he debuted as a member of the group ASTRO. In 2019, he officially returned to acting, participating in several films and television programs.

In November 2019, Moonbin temporarily suspended all promotional activities with ASTRO due to health issues. After recovering, in 2020, he returned as a regular MC for the program "Show Champion" alongside Sanha and participated in the drama "The Little Mermaid". In September 2020, he and Sanha formed ASTRO's first sub-unit and released a mini-album titled IN-OUT. Moonbin has remained actively involved in the arts to this day.
