On the afternoon of May 25th, Kanchanaburi FC announced that the South Korean strategist had become the team's new head coach. The contract between the two parties is for two years, but the salary was not disclosed.
Park Hang-seo's biggest goal in arriving in Kanchanaburi is to secure promotion to Thai League 1.
The club's announcement read: "Modern football is measured not only by reputation, but also by belief, dedication, and character building. Today, Phalang Kanchan FC proudly introduces its team and new head coach, who are ready to work alongside us to build discipline, set standards, and develop new players for Kanchanaburi."

However, due to his current role as Vice President of the Korean Football Association and his responsibility for the Korean national team's preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026, he will only officially take over the team at the end of July. In the meantime, his assistant, Lee Jung Soo, will temporarily manage the club.
In addition to Mr. Park, the team includes assistant coach Lee Jung-Soo, fitness coach Roh Yeong Su, and Thai assistant coaches Phanupong Wongsa, analyst Phunarai Phansiri, and goalkeeping coach Narathip Phanphrom.
Since parting ways with Vietnamese football in 2023, the South Korean strategist has consistently stated that he will not coach any more national teams in Southeast Asia. Therefore, accepting an offer from a Thai club is seen as a new turning point in the career of the 68-year-old coach.
However, Park Hang-seo still has a contract with Bac Ninh FC as a senior advisor.
