1. Lao Cai Province (new)

The Prime Minister signed a decision appointing Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee (new term) 2020-2025, to the position of Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee (new term) 2021-2026.

The new province of Lao Cai was formed by merging the provinces of Lao Cai and Yen Bai , with the new administrative center located in Lao Cai.

2. Tuyen Quang Province (new)

Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee (new term) 2020 - 2025, will assume the position of Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee (new term 2021 - 2026).

The new Tuyen Quang province was formed by merging Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces, with the new administrative center located in Tuyen Quang.

3. Thai Nguyen Province (new)

Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term, will hold the position of Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee (new) for the 2021-2026 term.

The new Thai Nguyen province was formed by merging Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan provinces, with the new administrative center located in Thai Nguyen.

4. Bac Ninh Province (new)

Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term, will hold the position of Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee (new) for the 2021-2026 term.

The new Bac Ninh province was formed by merging Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, with the new administrative center located in Bac Giang.

5. Ninh Binh Province (new)

The newly established Ninh Binh province was formed by merging Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, and Ha Nam provinces, with its new administrative center located in Ninh Binh.

6. Hai Phong City (new)

21. Cao Bang Province

In Decision No. 1259/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Le Hai Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. This decision takes effect from the date of signing, June 24.

At the same time, the Prime Minister approved the dismissal of Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province for the 2021-2026 term to retire early. This decision takes effect from the date of signing (June 24, 2025).
