Local authorities launch the Month of Action for Children.

DNO - On the afternoon of June 1st, the People's Committee of Tam Ky ward organized the launching ceremony for the 2026 Action Month for Children with the theme "Happy, safe, and confident children in the digital age".

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Tan Cong, Vice Chairman of the Tam Ky Ward People's Committee, said that in the context of strong technological and digital transformation development, building a safe and healthy living, learning, and playing environment for children is extremely necessary. Accompanying, listening to, and equipping children with the skills to protect themselves is the responsibility of families, schools, and the entire society.

The People's Committee of Tam Ky Ward has launched a campaign to promote awareness among the entire society about children's rights and the responsibility to protect children; paying special attention to caring for children in difficult circumstances, children with disabilities, orphans, and children at risk of falling into special circumstances.

At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen life skills education , especially skills in preventing and responding to accidents, injuries, drowning, and using the internet and social media safely for children.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tam Ky ward presented more than 80 gifts to children from disadvantaged backgrounds who have strived to excel in their studies.

* Later that same day, the People's Committees of Thanh Khe and Hai Chau wards organized the launching ceremony for the Month of Action for Children and the "Summer Festival" in 2026.

With the theme "Happy, safe, and confident children in the digital age," in response to this year's Action Month, Thanh Khe ward organized many practical activities such as: strengthening communication through various forms on online platforms and mass media channels to disseminate knowledge and skills on protecting and caring for children; preventing and combating child abuse, injuries, and child labor...

Organize training courses on safety skills, accident and injury prevention, and swimming lessons for children. Build a modern and safe learning environment in cyberspace and equip them with necessary skills.

On this occasion, Thanh Khe ward presented 235 gifts to disadvantaged children in the area, each gift worth 300,000 VND.

* The People's Committee of Hai Chau Ward launched the 2026 Action Month for Children with the theme "Happy, Safe, and Steadfast Children in the Digital Age," inaugurated the 2026 summer activities, and honored and rewarded outstanding students of the 2025-2026 school year.

This year's theme for Children's Action Month reflects the responsibility of the entire society in building a safe and healthy living and digital environment for children.

The leaders of Hai Chau Ward People's Committee requested that all levels, sectors, organizations, schools, families, and the community continue to work together to care for, educate, and protect children; pay more attention to children with special circumstances and vulnerable children; strengthen prevention and combat against child abuse; and build a safe learning and playing environment.

Focus on equipping children with digital skills and life skills, creating conditions for them to learn, develop comprehensively, and fully exercise their rights…

On this occasion, the Department of Health awarded two gifts to students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies; Code Engine Studio Vietnam Co., Ltd. awarded five scholarships to children with disabilities; the Hai Chau Business Association supported 20 scholarships for children with disabilities; and the Women's Union of the ward awarded ten scholarships to orphaned students from disadvantaged backgrounds through the "Godmother" program.

In addition, the People's Committee of Hai Chau Ward commended and rewarded students who achieved excellent results and were top students at the city level in the 2025-2026 school year.
