Highway projects through Hau Giang province are striving to meet and exceed deadlines.

This was a proposal made by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province at the launching ceremony of the "Rapid - Decisive Victory" emulation campaign for key transportation projects in the Southwest region.

Two key transportation projects are currently underway in Hau Giang province. Specifically, the North-South Expressway Eastern section (2021-2025), specifically the Can Tho- Ca Mau section (Can Tho-Ca Mau Expressway), is over 110km long. With a total investment of over 27,500 billion VND, construction began in January 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025. The section passing through Hau Giang province is over 63km long.

And component project 3 of the Chau Doc-Can Tho -Soc Trang expressway, with a length of nearly 37km, has a total investment of over 9,601 billion VND and is managed by the Department of Transport of Hau Giang province.

According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, in the past period, the provincial leadership has directed relevant departments and agencies, as well as districts and towns where the project passes through, to coordinate promptly in resolving difficulties and obstacles in the project implementation process.

"The province will fully and promptly fulfill its responsibilities," the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province emphasized.

Regarding the project's construction units, the head of the Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee requested that they effectively implement the project in accordance with the commitments made.

This includes reviewing and developing a specific, clear, and detailed project construction plan that closely adheres to the project completion schedule as directed by the Prime Minister, and aggressively implementing the project construction, striving to meet or exceed the set schedule.

Construction work is underway on component project 3 through Hau Giang province.

"The contractors demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, staying close to the construction site and resolving issues on-site. During the construction process, if any difficulties or obstacles arose, they coordinated smoothly with the local authorities to resolve them promptly. If it exceeded their authority, they reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee or contacted the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directly for timely resolution," said the Chairman of the Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.

According to Truong Son Construction Corporation, the company is responsible for the construction of 5 packages in the two aforementioned projects, with a total value of over 10,450 billion VND.

During the intensive emulation campaign "Rapid - Decisive Victory" from March 10th to May 31st, the contractor set targets, including the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project, where the unit strives to complete the embankment reinforcement of the main route before March 15th.

Specifically for component project 3, the contractor has completed the installation of girders for 11 bridges, completed the reinforced concrete deck slabs for 10 out of 12 bridges; and completed the approach roads to the crushed stone base layer, ensuring traffic flow on the bridges crossing the river...
