Document sent to investors, BOT project enterprises, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), VETC Automatic Toll Collection Company Limited, Vietnam Digital Traffic Joint Stock Company (VDTC) and Road Management Zones I, II, III, IV on exemption of road use service fees for vehicles transporting relief goods.
According to the Vietnam Road Administration, in recent days, storms No. 10 and No. 11 have caused serious damage to people and property, greatly affecting the economic and social life in many mountainous areas in the North, North Central and Central regions.
In order to promote the spirit of "mutual love and support", "helping each other" and supporting the rapid transport of relief goods to damaged areas, the Vietnam Road Administration has requested toll stations of BOT projects and expressways to temporarily exempt road use fees for vehicles carrying relief goods, until further instructions are issued.
Ensure smooth flow of relief vehicles
The Department also requires toll collection management units to coordinate with regional road management areas and local authorities to organize lane separation, traffic flow and traffic guidance, ensuring that relief vehicles can pass through toll stations conveniently, safely and quickly. All toll suspensions and fee exemptions for relief vehicles must be recorded and have complete toll collection records and data stored in accordance with regulations.
After the Vietnam Road Administration issued a document, Deo Ca Group announced that road fees would be waived for all relief convoys to localities to overcome the consequences of storms No. 10 and 11 when passing through toll stations managed and operated by Deo Ca from October 8.
