Notably, the Philippines has only 14 billionaires (down 7 compared to the previous year), while Malaysia has 16 billionaires (down 1 compared to the previous year).
According to Forbes' latest update of the world's billionaires list, Vietnam has 6 billionaires: Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, VietJet Air CEO Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Hoa Phat Chairman Tran Dinh Long, Techcombank Chairman Ho Hung Anh, Thaco Chairman Tran Ba Duong and Masan Chairman Nguyen Dang Quang.
The total number of billionaires in Southeast Asia is 117.
