Emperor Wanli of China abolished many of his ancestors' old policies, promoted maritime trade, increased tax revenue, and enriched the national treasury.
Emperor Wanli (1563-1620) was the 14th emperor of the Ming Dynasty in Chinese history. He reigned for 48 years, the longest reign of any Ming emperor.
